BashDit (“BashDit,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, store, and protect information when you access or use the BashDit website, mobile application, event-planning platform, vendor and venue matching tools, messaging features, invitation features, and any related services we provide together with the BashDit Terms of Service (collectively, the “Service”).

A. Information You Provide to Us
We may collect information you provide when you:

  • update your profile; 
  • create an event or party request; 
  • answer BashDit event-planning questions; 
  • search for venues, vendors, or event services;
  •  submit an event request to a vendor or venue; 
  • send invitations;
  •  upload guest lists;
  •  message hosts, guests, vendors, venues, or other users;
  •  upload photos, logos, videos, or event materials;
  • RSVP to an event;
  • make a purchase; 
  • contact customer support; 
  • participate in surveys, promotions, or beta features.

This information may include: 

  • name; 
  • email address; 
  • phone number; 
  • mailing address; 
  • username and password; 
  • date of birth or age range; 
  • event date, time, type, location, and guest count; 
  • event budget and preferences; 
  • venue or vendor preferences; 
  • payment-related information; 
  • photos, videos, logos, and other uploaded content; 
  • communications with BashDit, hosts, guests, vendors, or venues; 
  • any other information you choose to provide. 

B. Guest and Invitee Information

If you use BashDit to invite guests, you may upload or provide information about other people, including: 

  • names; 
  • phone numbers; 
  • email addresses; 
  • RSVP information; 
  • invitation status; 
  • guest notes or preferences; 
  • party codes or invitation links.

You represent and warrant that you have permission to provide this information to BashDit and to use it for sending invitations, reminders, event updates, RSVP messages, and other event-related communications.

Guests and invitees may also provide information directly to BashDit when they RSVP, access an invitation, use a party code, message a host, or interact with the Service.

C. Vendor and Venue Information

If you use BashDit as a vendor, venue, business, service provider, or event professional, we may collect: 

  • business name; 
  • contact person name; 
  • email address; 
  • phone number; 
  • business address; 
  • website and social media links; 
  • service descriptions; 
  • pricing information; 
  • availability; 
  • photos, menus, packages, or promotional materials; 
  • licenses, insurance, or verification information if requested; 
  • messages with users; 
  • booking, quote, lead, or request information.

D. Payment Information

If you purchase paid features, subscriptions, upgrades, vendor tools, premium listings, booking features, or other paid services, payment information may be collected and processed by third-party payment processors.

We may receive limited payment-related information, such as: 

  • transaction ID; 
  • purchase amount; 
  • payment status; 
  • billing name; 
  • billing email; 
  • last four digits of a payment card; 
  • subscription status; 
  • invoice or receipt information. 

We do not intend to store full credit card numbers on our own servers.

F. Location Information

BashDit may collect location-related information to help users search for events, venues, vendors, services, or local party options. 

This may include: 

  • event location entered by a user; 
  • city, state, ZIP code, or general area; 
  • approximate location based on IP address; 
  • precise device location if you give permission through your device settings. 

You can usually disable precise location access through your device settings, but some location-based features may not work properly.

G. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We and our service providers may use cookies, pixels, SDKs, local storage, analytics tools, and similar technologies to: 

  • keep you logged in; 
  • remember preferences; 
  • improve app performance; 
  • understand usage; 
  • personalize content;

  • enable messaging between hosts, guests, vendors, venues, and BashDit;
  •  process purchases, payments, subscriptions, or refunds where applicable; 
  • provide customer support; personalize your experience; 
  • show relevant event, vendor, venue, or party suggestions; 
  • improve search results and recommendations; 
  • monitor and analyze usage; 
  • debug errors and improve security; 
  • prevent fraud, spam, abuse, and unauthorized access; 
  • enforce our Terms of Service; 
  • comply with legal obligations; 
  • protect the rights, safety, and property of BashDit, users, guests, vendors, venues, and others; 
  • send service-related notices; 
  • send marketing communications where permitted by law.

3. SMS, Email, and Other Communications

BashDit may send communications by SMS/MMS text message, email, push notification, in-app message, or other method.

These communications may include: 

  • account alerts; 
  • invitations; 
  • RSVP updates; 
  • event reminders; 
  • party codes; 
  • vendor or venue responses; 
  • booking or quote updates; 
  • customer support messages; 
  • security notices; 
  • promotional messages where permitted. 

By providing your phone number, you consent to receive service-related communications from BashDit. If you separately opt in to marketing messages, you may receive promotional communications. 

Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency may vary. You may opt out of marketing texts by replying STOP where supported. For help, reply HELP where supported or contact bashdit@gmail.com. 

If you use BashDit to send text messages, emails, invitations, or other communications to guests, vendors, venues, or other recipients, you are responsible for having permission to contact those recipients and for complying with applicable laws.

4. How We Share Information

We may share information as described below.

A. With Hosts, Guests, Invitees, Vendors, and Venues

Depending on how you use the Service, we may share information between users, hosts, guests, vendors, venues, and other event participants. 

For example: 

  • if you submit an event request, we may share your event details and contact information with vendors or venues; 
  • if you invite guests, guests may see event details, host information, and other invitation-related content; 
  • if you RSVP, the host may see your RSVP and related information; 
  • if you message another user, vendor, venue, host, or guest, the recipient may see your message and profile information; 
  • if you use a party code or invitation link, certain event information may be visible to you.

B. With Service Providers

We may share information with vendors and service providers who help us operate BashDit, such as: 

  • hosting providers; 
  • cloud storage providers; 
  • payment processors; SMS and email providers; 
  • analytics providers; 
  • customer support tools; 
  • fraud prevention providers; 
  • security providers; 
  • app development and debugging tools; 
  • marketing and advertising partners, if used. 

These providers may access information only as needed to perform services for us.

C. With Payment Processors 

Payment information may be processed by third-party payment processors. Their use of your information is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

D. With Business Partners 

If BashDit offers sponsored features, vendor promotions, venue partnerships, affiliate offers, or event-related recommendations, we may share limited information with business partners as needed to provide those features. 

We will not knowingly sell your guest list to unrelated third parties for their independent marketing without your permission.

E. For Legal, Safety, and Security Reasons

We may disclose information if we believe it is necessary to: 

  • comply with law, subpoena, court order, legal process, or government request; 
  • enforce our Terms of Service; 
  • investigate fraud, abuse, security issues, or illegal activity; 
  • protect the rights, safety, or property of BashDit, users, guests, vendors, venues, or others; 
  • prevent harm; 
  • respond to emergencies.

F. In a Business Transfer

If BashDit is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, bankruptcy, or similar transaction, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

5. Public and Shared Content

Some information you submit may be visible to others depending on the feature you use. 

For example: 

  • event details may be visible to invited guests; 
  • vendor profiles may be visible to users; 
  • reviews or ratings may be visible publicly or within the Service; 
  • messages may be visible to their intended recipients; 
  • uploaded photos or event content may be visible to people with access to the event. 

You should not post or share information that you do not want others to see.

6. Advertising and Analytics

BashDit may use analytics tools to understand how users interact with the Service and improve performance. 

BashDit may also use advertising or marketing tools to promote the Service, measure campaigns, or show relevant content. 

These tools may collect information such as device identifiers, usage activity, IP address, pages viewed, and interactions with ads or emails. 

If BashDit later uses targeted advertising, cross-context behavioral advertising, or sells or shares personal information as defined under certain privacy laws, BashDit will update this Privacy Policy and provide any required opt-out rights.

7. Data Retention

We keep information for as long as reasonably necessary to: 

  • provide the Service; 
  • maintain your account; 
  • operate events and invitations; 
  • support vendor and venue communications; 
  • process payments; 
  • comply with legal obligations;
